More about me John Caravella is a construction attorney having offices located in Uniondale, New York. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in both New York and Florida.

Mr. Caravella represents members of the construction community, including architects, contractors, sub-contractors, and owners in all aspects of construction. Representations range from contract review, drafting and negotiations, through prosecuting or defending litigation and arbitration claims. To further assist homeowners Mr. Caravella also provides defenses to foreclosure actions as well as pursuing mortgage modifications where available.

To his construction based clientele Mr. Caravella brings the added value of his prior education and actual working experience in architecture. Having earned his Bachelors in Architecture, Mr Caravella worked for, and trained under, well respected architectural firms from Manhattan to Southampton on high-end design and construction projects. This extensive hands-on understanding and firsthand experience in construction brings a level of understanding not commonly found in an attorney.

Prior to establishing his own firm, Mr. Caravella worked for a decade as an associate attorney through senior associate attorney positions in construction based law firms handling all aspects of construction and commercial litigation, lien and bonding claims. Through these experiences Mr. Caravella has been representing architects, contractors, and sub-contractors in wide ranging commercial, residential, public, and private construction disputes for over a decade.

Mr. Caravella is a member of the Suffolk County Real Property and Arbitration Committees, the Nassau County Bar Association Construction Law and Arbitration Committees, the American Institute of Architects, Long Island Chapter, the U.S. Green Building Council – Long Island Chapter, Advocacy Committee, as well as being appointed to the panel of Construction Industry Neutrals for the American Arbitration Association to serve as a construction arbitrator.
