Kirkland & Ellis has increased the salaries of all associates in London, with newly qualified lawyers now £7000 better off on £97,000.

The increases put the firm among the highest paying firms in London, just behind Bingham McCutchen, which pays its newly qualified solicitors £100,000, and Sullivan & Cromwell(£97,500). Other firms paying similar rates include Weil Gotshal & Manges (£90,000), Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom 8] (£94,000) and Debevoise & Plimpton (£94,250).
