Wachtell, O’Melveny advise Apollo on $2.4bn Cedar Fair deal
8 Equity firm Apollo Global Management agreed late Wednesday to acquire Cedar Fair, a company that owns Knott's in Buena Park and 10 other amusement parks, seven water parks and five hotels in the U.S. and Canada. The $2.4-billion deal total includes refinancing of Cedar Fair's debt, Apollo says.Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz advised Apollo on the deal with a team including partners Steven Cohen, Ante Vucic, Paul Rowe, Eric Rosof, Jodi Schwartz and Joshua Holmes. O’Melveny & Myers also advised the equity firm with a team led by partners Gregory Ezring, Jeff Held and Eric Rothenberg.
Weil, Gotshal & Manges and Squire, Sanders & Dempsey acted for Cedar Fair.
